I think Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel are actually the same person.
Seriously, have they ever been photographed together? That's the only thing that could possibly convince me that they are two different people. Yadda, yadda, Zooey's older, whatever. Same person.
Also, my personal Oscar highlight was Sean Penn calling everyone "commie homo-loving sons of guns." Actually, his speech in general was pretty awesome. And I'm glad Heath Ledger won the best supporting actor award. Also, Hugh Jackman did a fabulous job hosting and I hope he's asked back next year. The musical number in the middle of the show was fabulous - but it was written by Baz Luhrmann, so I suppose that is to be expected.
I try to make it a point to see the best picture winner every year, so I s'pose I'll be watching Slumdog Millionaire soon.
