A/N: This is for earthquakedream because it’s her birthday!!! She prompted me with high school!au j2, danneel and misha get them together I hope you like it bb, it didn’t turn out quite like expected ♥
It’s the beginning of Danneel and Jensen’s senior year of high school. Danneel has known Jensen since they were both in diapers, and they’ve been best friends since. Danneel would have had a crush on Jensen if he hadn’t revealed that he was gay when he was like thirteen. He could never keep anything from Danneel. From that day on, Danneel was his cover, his fag hag, and anything in between.
Danneel meets Jared that first day and sparks fly. Or so Danneel thinks. Jared is tall, floppy-haired, and ridiculously adorable. He’s also smokin’ hot, a killer combination. They talk and laugh in English class and Danneel can’t help but instantly like the new transfer student. They’re walking through the halls to their next class together (after comparing schedules, it seems both of them are in almost every single class together) when Jared runs into someone in the hall. He greets him with a huge hug and light kiss on the cheek.
Maybe Danneel thought wrong about those so-called sparks in class. Jared turns and has this mega watt grin on his face.
“Danneel! This is Misha, my ex. He realized he’s more straight than gay and broke my heart.” His grin belies this statement and Misha punches him in the arm before smiling at Danneel. He’s pretty cute too, actually.
They walk towards class together, laughing and cracking jokes, and Danneel sees Jensen in the room. She almost forgot they have Physics together, too caught up in the act that is Jared and Misha.
Jensen’s eyes light up when he catches sight of the group and Danneel can see the flush rise in his cheeks as well when he looks at Jared. Well, that’s interesting. She looks over at Jared and sees him looking right back at Jensen, and then averting his gaze. Misha’s looking at him speculatively too and Danneel winks at him before nodding at both the boys. Misha nods too and Danneel can’t wait to hatch a plan to get the two oblivious boys together.
Apparently, Jared and Jensen had met in Theatre Arts and had hit it off well, already role-playing a scene. Jensen and Danneel are hanging out in Jensen’s room after school, going over their days. Jensen and Jared’s chemistry was amazing, Mr. Kripke had said and Danneel loves how animated Jensen gets when he’s describing this. He suddenly stops and blushes when he sees Danneel just staring at him.
“No, go on Jensen. I wanna hear about how dreamy you think Jared is.” She winks at him and he throws a pillow at her head. Danneel throws a pillow back and they have a mock pillow fight right there in his room like pre-teen girls at a sleepover.
They laugh and collapse onto the bed, faces flushed and happy.
“To new beginnings and an awesome senior year,” Jensen says, nudging Danneel in the side.
“Hear hear!” She tells him; already planning all the ways her and Misha can get the two boys together.
