School...

I haven't updated in a long time.. but nothing interesting has really happened. Even though three weeks have gone by, it still feels like I'm just getting into school.

For Historical Techniques and Materials.. I haven't actually started the painting/gilding of my manuscript yet.. I'll probably start that this coming week. Up til now I've stretched the parchment.. and drew/transfered my cartoon. Hopefully this project won't give me too much trouble.. I'm really not in the mood to make a mistake.

For my Practicum Seminar.. I have a project due on the 2nd.. I have to make a flier about my community placement, and prepare a presentation. There's another girl in my class who goes to the same placement as me so we're doing the project together.

Intaglio.. well last week I prepared my copper plate with hard ground.. so now I just have to scratch in my image.. and make sure I'm ready to print some proofs for my coming class.

This past Thursday, I went on a 'fieldtrip' for my Critical Issues class. We went to two art galleries. One was a commercial one, so we got to talk to the art dealer that owns the place. It was pretty interesting.. The trip was supposed to be during our class time (so from 3:30 to 5:30). My class in the morning ends at 11, so I had plenty of time to get downtown. I got there faster than expected, and while I was wandering on the street, I ran into a guy from the same class.. who's a friend of a friend I guess. Man it was sufficiently awkward.. we kinda talked.. and walked.. and then stood outside the building for a good 15 minutes. He's also in my Historical Techniques and Materials class. He seems nice and all, but I'm not much of a talker, and he kept asking me questions.. to kinda maintain a conversation. It felt like a really awkward interview haha.
