Writer's Block: Finders keepers?
i would pick it up by it's edges, then dust for finger prints and tape lift the prints and run it through the system. If the personal was a criminal, i'd keep it...if not, I'd give it to the cops for safe keeping.
Okay, all honestly, I'd probably keep it. If i had found a wallet with identification in it with the money, that would be a different story. If someone shouted I lost money at the library/diner/pub, i'd give it to them. But money lying around unclaimed is mine for the taking, sorry! I know I've lost money and I've never had anyone return it.
But if it was a lot of money, like a lot of large bills, I'd give it to the cops...it's probably marked anyway...
