it's like pulling teeth

well, i didn't have any teeth pulled, but i was at the dentist's today. and as i sat in the chair having Gross and Rot scraped off, i found myself thinking over the evolution of not only Man, but Dentistry.

"i wonder how long primitive humans kept their teeth for?" i wondered, "and what kinds of nasty things they passed to each other via the oral cavity?"

then another searing pain as it felt like my gums were detached from my body.

"...and haven't we surpassed this method of teeth cleaning yet?!?!?! where are my fucking mouth lasers?!?!?!?!?!?!??!????????????????????"

when i was allowed to sit back up, i looked down at the little blue, crinkly bib you always wear at the dentist's. it looked like a teeny massacre, splashes of dark red blood, with myself as the only victim.

my poor gums...
