Looking toward Toronto
This year I am planning on going up to Toronto for FanExpo instead of AnimeNorth. A couple of my friends have told me they enjoy it even more than AN.
I've asked for the last week of August and the first week of September off from work. Last year I was up in the Great North for almost a week. I'd like to go for a little longer than a week this time. Let's say, August 24th through September 2nd.
Doing some airline searches, Priceline and Orbitz both come up with tickets around $325~350 for the cheaper seats. Closer to $450 for non-stop flights.
I still need to come up with what all I'll be doing up there.
2008 - Stayed at Patrick's place and walked up and down the main strip one day before AN. Helped Kelsey find some last minute costume pieces.
2009 - Explored more of T-town with Patrick, Alvaro, and Mike along for a bit. Steamwhistle was a lot of fun, and I'm still using the souvenir glass. Silver Snail was also a great stop. Stayed over at Alvaro's after some gaming.
2010 - Who knows? I've still not made my way to the Beguiling. If "Scott Pilgrim" is in theaters, that will likely have to be seen while I'm in the city it occurs. Anyone want to let me couch surf while I'm up there? I'm willing to cook to pay my way. :D
Also, anyone from down here want to travel with me? Last year FanExpo had both Shatner and Nimoy.
