continuing to rip off my friends

In other news, the convention went great and it didn't take me near as long to recover from it as I had expected. No "con flu" this time around, probably due to constantly keeping my hands clean and popping Halls Defense drops like candy on Saturday and Sunday.
I didn't get anything signed, even though I tried to keep my copy of We Shadows with me and my Haruko wallscroll in the Volunteer Ops. Ah well, at least I still met some cool folks and I got to talk with Kari a bit. Plus the Dejesuses (Dejesi?) came to the staff after party and hung with us a while. Being with the staff was a definite plus, as everyone was pretty cool. The volunteers that worked for us were awesome as well. I especially loved the folks who walked up during the convention and asked for work "because they would be bored otherwise." I guess there is one benefit to not have all hours filled with panels. I'll definitely sign up for staff again next year.
I think I may check out A-kon's volunteer positions as well. It's a much larger convention, and I am certain that there will be fun work to do.
