I'm packed (essentially). It's 9am on Thursday and I have been up since 4pm Wednesday getting everything straight. I leave tomorrow. Here is a pending intinerary for the next 27 hours:
10am: Cash in all the coins I have rolled for just that much more loot when I get back to the States. Buy a few last minute things like AA batteries for the flight and a shot glass for Symons. Maybe a few more magazines. I also need a haircut and some socks of all things.
5pm: Officially check out on leave from the squadron and come back to the barracks to sleep as long as I can.
Roughly 7am Friday: Wake up, get myself ready.
9am: Get a ride to the Sagamino train station and ride the express to Yokohama.
10am: Take the YCAT bus from the Yokohama train station to the Narita Airport in Tokyo. Terminal #1.
1pm: Arrive at the airport, proceed to counter A and check into Delta airlines.
3pm: Fly to America...
It is always nice to leave Japan. I have often said this country never looks as good as it does from the air, flying easterly out over the Pacific. I have these nagging little persistant fears of oversleeping, or that tomorrow will be the one day in the history of Japanese mass transit that the YCAT bus isn't running. I have several back up plans.
I won't be able to sleep tonight. See you real soon.
