finally paying off
for four years i have done so much for my running. i have pushed it passed its limits, sweat endless streams, cried till i couldn't breathe, endured killing leg cramps, and of course body aches where you can barely move.
and so finally i get the attention long awaited for. people are finally recognizing my name. and whats even better is that its also my teams name that everyone is finally recognizing. this week we won one of the biggest meets in texas. it was amazing... 5 girls medaled this week against some of the best teams. i'm so excited b/c my team needed this extra little confidence since district is 3 weeks away. (which means regionals aka the BIG RACEis 4 weeks.)
tomorrow we have an interview with the monitor and its going to be centered around me. i feel honored and still in shock that i'll be on the front page of the sports section before district. its weird because the only people that are featured on the front page are regional champions. no one else, especially in cross country. and even though i am hoping we claim the regional title this year, i dont want to seem too over confident or cocky.
yes my team andi have confidence but it thrives because of our hardwork. i'm just anxious to see how everything unfolds inthe next month. i only hope its going to be the ride of my life.
