Note I...think this is the shortest drabble I have ever completed! This is the song to go with it.
He smelled like war.
He smelled of smoke, of stone, of suffering, of rancor, of rage - but mostly he smelled of blood.
It wafted past, and he turned, interested. Eyes narrow and watchful, they instantly locked with the pair that belonged to the one emitting such a delicious scent.
It took only a moment, but the sparks flew sure and straight as arrows - sparks from a flame that burned so brightly Squalo was at once blinded by it. He didn't care, and he willingly, immediately, sacrificed himself to the fire.
