Our family had a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Hubby, Bean and I went to see the new Star Wars movie on Christmas Eve; and to avoid spoilers, I'll just say that we all loved it. Loved Rey, loved Finn, loved Han and Chewie and Leia and Evil!Bill Weasley. Although...I think the thing I really loved, the thing that really proved just how far from the 1970s we and the creators have come, was that there were just as many female crew members aboard and moving around, both with the Resistance and the First Order. I don't know why that stood out to me so much, but it did.
Bean liked the movie, but I think what she really liked best was the preview for Kung Fu Panda 3. Considering she's watched the first two films too many times to count, I'm completely not surprised.
Christmas Day was wonderful. Bean made out like a bandit, as usual; and she genuinely seemed to like all of her gifts. Even the new underwear! Hubby and Dad G prepared a delicious Christmas dinner, and the afternoon was spent with Bean playing with her new toys and Mom G and I watching our new DVDs, Ant-Man and Jurassic World.
I was blessed with an enormously rare four-day weekend, and basically I went from Christmas Eve night to Tuesday morning when I returned to work cocooned at home. I went NOWHERE, and it was fantastic!
Anyway, on to the post-Christmas miracle. Hubby texted me at work today with the news:
Bruno Is Home!
Someone turned him in to the shelter, who contacted us once they accessed the info on his microchip. He's eaten, slept, let us pet and cuddle him, and seems fine. Hubby says he thinks Bruno tried to find Amy and got lost. Sadly, we still have no idea where Amy is or if she's even still alive; but we have one of our kitties back.
