Karaoke King
What happened to you Livejournal? you used to be cool. people used to read you. i used to feel a need to use proper capitalization. Seriously though, it seems like Livejournal just died and no one cared. I'm willing to bet that facebook has a lot to do with it. Odd, I would say, since all of my livejournal posts are fed directly to facebook...so I guess I win on all counts.
With this in mind, the fact that a)no one reads lj anymore or b)those that do never read long posts (myself included), I will use the tried and true "quick-list" method which seems to be an adequate means for posting neat little facts about what's going on with me.
- I just got back from doing Karaoke the second night in a row. It was awesome. I got a crazy/mostly drunk ovation for singing Jet's "Are you gonna be my girl" as well as "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners. (thanks VH1's countdown of the top one hit wonders)
- Work is going very well at James Island. I definitely think I'll do alright there.
- I got my tickets to see the Decemberists in D.C. on the 9-10 of November. Get excited!
- Saw the Charleston Battery play the Puerto Rico Islanders in the season ender the other night. There were fireworks. It was awesome.
- I obtained Rilo Kiley's new album. I didn't like it at first, but it has grown on me sufficienly where it is all that I'm listening to right now.
- This is my first weekend off with no obligations or plans in a long long time. I don't like it. That is sad. Yes it is.
- I got to see both Erin and Clay this weekend, whom I've not seen in a while. I miss my friends...silly graduating, and people having lives (myself included...stupid job)
I think this is long enough that your attention span shouldn't be too strained. If anything you just didn't make it to this last line, which, in the grand scheme of things isn't that important.
