Yoon Ha Lee is a remarkable writer. Just in case you didn't know. Dragons build with death. I would be proud to have written any single sentence in this short piece. ::sigh::

Turnips! I died, I just died. So funny.

Speaking of comics, Doonesbury is 40 years old (!!!); Slate has an interview with Trudeau.

Slate is also re-starting their TV Club discussion of Friday Night Lights, which comes back on DirecTV on Wednesday, I believe. And they have one of the showrunners answering questions, yay. SHOW!

Anyway, if you're an FNL fan, hie thee to
heresluck's LJ and download her latest FNL vid, which is season 4 in all its glory and it is wonderful.

Veterans of the Lymond Chronicles may be entertained by
alpheratz's commentary as she reads them for the first time. She's looking for someone to talk to, so drop by and commiserate--she's just finished Pawn in Frankincense.

Corporette today discusses an issue close to my heart: how to dress for the freezing office. I would blame my own metabolism, because I've suffered from this in two jobs and three different offices, except that everyone here agrees it's some freakish thing associated with the HVAC. It's several degrees colder around my cubicle than elsewhere in the office, and when building maintenance has tried to fix it, it has resulted in everyone else getting overheated. So instead I keep a black wool sweater in my office, and complain a lot. (Although I should probably take it home to be cleaned...)

Huh. The new Windows Phone 7 OS is getting rave reviews.
