Snack Bars

I'm really tired of spending tons of money on expensive gluten free snack bars that usually aren't very good. So today I played around and made some snack bars and they turned out really great. You can easily adjust these to suit whatever your tastes are, just use whatever GF cereal you like and whatever nut butter you prefer. Wrap them in waxed ( Read more... )

I did the butterscotch nut bars today, but had to substitute caramel chips because none of the stores in my area carried a GF butterscotch chip. What brand did you use? The ones I found had barley protein. In any case, I think it would have been better with the butterscotch rather than caramel, but they're very good anyway. Good call on the Nutella, that stuff is amazing! Thanks for posting these!

YAY! I'm glad you liked them! I used Hershey Chip Its. I'm in Canada though and I'm not sure where you are. I know products like that differ from country to country which sucks. I just triple checked the label and mine are fine. Nutella is pretty much the greatest thing ever, I love it for making stuff like these. Yum!
