Looks like JournalFen is being swamped by the influx of new users; I haven't been able to get in at all for the last ten minutes or so. Oh well, maybe things will quiet down later.
So, here's what I've been up to. Using
antennapedia's fabulous

I need to make an icon of Timothy -- if I can get him to sit still long enough for me to take his picture!

I can never get a photo of Spot asleep, because he wakes up before I can get close enough with the camera and glares at me through half-closed eyes.

I do intend to keep my LJ, I'm just not going to pay for it once it expires in March - unless things change drastically, which I don't see how they can. I'd really prefer to use my blog and embed it on my website, so I may go that route eventually and just link from my LJ and/or JF.

My LJ is a permanent account, so there's no question of whether to continue paying for it or not. It's here as long as I don't get suspended or deleted, so I figure I might as well keep it.

I haven't migrated my LJ yet, though I, too, will likely keep LJ (though as a free, not paid account - is it possible to downgrade?? expires in Dec.). But I really only want to move/copy it once... and I don't yet know if it's to GJ or IJ. Plus I see all this buzz about fendom creating its own service... eh, anyway, I'll keep up with what everyone is doing and watch... *hugs*
OMG are those photo albums? How ORGANIZED!

I don't think you can downgrade your account once it's paid for. There wouldn't be any point, really, since they don't give refunds. I know what you mean about moving -- It's still a toss-up where most people will end up, although I'll no doubt keep friendslists on all my different journals.
And, yeah, those are my photo albums. Labeled and dated and everything. Now that I use digital cameras, though, I'm less organized, but I try to keep my photos in relevant folders so they'll be easy to find.
