Dying but not dead

So I know I'm kind of a jerk for posting a one line drunken update and then leaving it for three weeks, but it's been a busy time. On the bright side? Those changes finally came along. I finished up summer course (quite genuinely the most boring course I've ever been in) on Monday, and then today I wrote the big, bad scary MCATs. It turned out to be easier than I expected. Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning and the Writing Sample were all a breeze (not that the writing sample counts for shit), but the Biological Science section was quite literally one of my worst test-writing experiences. Really a disappointing way to finish an otherwise good showing, but I'm glad it's over. Hopefully I'll never again need to experience a nine hour testing session.

So now I can officially start my summer (which will end in two weeks). In fact, I feel it really began about twenty minutes ago. I was walking from the car to my front door when the light rain turned into a torrential downpour. It was as though the sky was torn asunder and an ocean spilled forth. Or as my charming uncle would say during a formal dinner "she was wetter 'den a whore at the bank!" Classy guy my uncle.
Anyhow, standing there alone in the apocalyptic rain (I actually kept an eye out for Famine and Death) I threw back my head and just a laughed. One of those deep, full laughs, right from the gut. If anyone had been nearby, I'm convinced they would have questioned my state of mind. In any case, it was one of the most cathartic situations I've ever experienced.

Buuut, my power just flickered, so I might as well post this before I lose it.

Here's to fun.
