Optimizing complex game code sucks. It's hard to be sure you aren't breaking things (see earlier rant about unit testing and games), and the Python profiler isn't always terribly helpful. Things that make me sad: stay up until 7:30 working on a paper, and then getting up at 12, and finding we don't actually have class today.

Things that make me happy: MUFFINS!

I really need to drop some of my more time-consuming responsibilities. My stress level is manifesting itself physiologically, and it's somewhat unnerving. The problem is I'm not sure what I can drop. How to tell an assignment is hard: The professor emails you asking what you got as an answer because he isn't sure his is right and wants a second opinion.

Additional: He the wrote back to me this morning saying "Yes, I found that error too, now I get the same answer as you."

Turing Machines hurt my brain.

Well here's a conundrum, www.i2hub.com now is just a simple text message saying "R.I.P. 11.14.2005". I was watching the NYSERNet traffic graphs, and they show a pretty steep drop starting at 16:00, but then again that might just be the normal daily lull. I was unable to connect using valknut. Has anyone been able to using the normal windows client?

I just managed to get a "?" on my game design homework. I win at life.
