(no subject)
I went to the MEPS on Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday I was there for 12 hours to do about 2 hours worth of work. A lot a hurry-up-and-wait going on. I saw Ben and Michelle for a couple hours on Wednesday night, but since I had to get up at 0430 the next day, I went to bed pretty early.
I enlisted and swore in on Thursday. I am now PV2 Cody Alan Wells. Crazy.
Even crazier. I leave for Basic Combat Training on Wednesday the 12th. Of July. Next week. Yeah, but it was either that or wait for nearly 8 months, which I would rather not do.
So, everyone has exactly 6 days to leave love and hang out and such before I take off for Oklahoma.
Oh yeah, that's another crazy thing. My BCT is in Ft. Sill, OK, where we used to live when I was little, and where my brother was born. That's also near where all my family lives, so it'll be good for them to be able to come to my graduation. My Advances Individual Training is at Ft. Sam Houston, in San Antonio, TX.
Anyway, gotta do laundry and cleaning today and tomorrow. Going to see Annie this weekend.
Please keep Anne and I, as well as my family, in your prayers. It's going to be an interesting 26 weeks ahead of us.
