27 Days of Happiness (Aug. 14 & 15)
Yesterday's happy things were pretty nice.
First, this little boy who came in with his grandma was really cute. He was touching our display of glasses, but thankfully didn't make a mess. At one point, I saw him kiss the picture of a model wearing some sunglasses, which made me laugh. I guess he'll turn into a ladies' man when he grows up. XD
Second, one of our customers bought me and my boss a bento. It was soo good and there was a lot of variety of stuff--shoyu flavored fish, chicken katsu, some noodle thing, tempura shrimp, and some other vegetable stuff. It was totally unexpected and really nice of her to do.
I also got my Yesasia package in yesterday with bice's 3 albums and SONOMI's midnight mini album. I still haven't added them to my iPod, but I'll do that soon.
The main thing that made me happy today was that it's a holiday for us! It was some Hawaiian holiday. Admissions Day, I think.
Anyway, I got a lot of stuff done, which made me happy. Got 4 episodes of Shuumatsukon to disc, so now I have to edit it and author it to DVD. I wish I had recorded it on SP mode because even though the S-VHS recorder cleaned it up a bit, the picture is still pretty crappy. I would say it's a C- or so because it has some snow and slightly faded in color. At least it's not as bad as Pure or my current copy of Perfect Love. Hopefully my EP tape of Perfect Love will be better.. Also got Osen to DVD, so yays.
Another thing that made me happy was that I finally watched The Count of Monte Cristo. That was such a great movie and I'm so proud that I got to watch it after borrowing it from my brother since last Christmas. I think he'll be thrilled to know that I finally watched the damn thing.
I have one thing to say about this drama: James Caviezel was hot. Well, I have more to say too: this was one of the most satisfying revenge movies I have seen and the way Dantes got his revenge on all the people who did him wrong was wonderful except for Fernand. He should have let him rot in some prison instead or ending it that way. Still, at least he got the girl and the boy at the end. I really enjoyed this movie so now I want to try getting the book. I already have it in my shopping cart @ amazon.com, but I've been spending so much lately and I don't think I have time any time soon to read it, so I'll probably wait till later this year or maybe next year before I get it.
Final(?) thing that made me happy is that after waiting since Monday for my Netflix envelope to come it, it finally did! Kinda sucked since I had today off and wanted to watch something else. At least I got in a couple episodes of Kita no Kuni kara. Maybe I'll save the movie for tonight.
