soo-a s'day!!!
yes, hello from Cambodia... for the last time.
its my last night here!
i just bought my bus ticket to Bangkok and hopefully they'll let me across the border in the morning and I'll be in Thailaaaand!
I am very very excited!
I feel like I haven't seen Cambodia at all, and I am still struggling to understand their complicated history. I'm going to call my mate Rith tonight... probably wake him up, hahah!... and ask him to explain some things to me. I have many questions!
The Cambdian people are so beautiful, though. They really are. Such big smiles. Beautiful smiles. And theý're so TALL! I am constantly surprised by how lanky the Cambodians are! Especially after Vietnam, where I was certainly not SHORT. Very strange.
I am really very tired right now. We wanted to see Angkor Wat at sunrise today, and sunrise is very early on this side of the world. 4:30 a.m. we had to be there! I'm the kind of person who doesn't believe 4:30 a.m. even EXISTS, except at the end of a long night! And then we toured temple after temple after temple until be had to tell Mr. Tuk-Tuk to just take us home at nearly 2:00 p.m.
I love Mr. Tuk-Tuk!!!! His name is actually Honda, but he's our tuk-tuk (rickshaw) driver so we gave him this nickname. He is the most beautiful person I have ever met!! Always smiling, always happy. Even when Anthony and I got in a pineapple fight in his tuk-tuk and got the seats all juicy and sticky, hahah!! He just laughed and said- "you are very vey happy!"
awwww. i need a picture of his smile. beautiful people should smile a lot.
Angkor Wat is truly stunning in the sunrise. It was really special to go and see it this morning. Just inside the temple entrance 3 young monk boys were chasing a monkey around and just laughing so much while 2 older monks were chanting and bowing while incense smoke was curling around them. We sat on the ancient stone slabs and listened for a long time. I think one of the little boys liked me. He kept looking at me and giggling and spent a long time saying goodbye to me when an older monk pushed him out of the inner courtyard with a bag of rice.
it was cuuuute!!!! beautiful little kids!!
oh i asked a little kid who wanted to sell me some postcards if i could buy him. he said- yes. for one hundred thousand million dollars!!! hahah!! and i asked his friend to sing me a song and he pretended to be a rap dj and said his name was D.J. Yo Yo Yo!
awww. they're lovely.
well blah blah blah... sorry i'm not paying much attention to what i'm saying. i'm tired and hungry! its time to feed me!
so yes, more from Bangkok!!
goooooood-bye!
