i don't have much to say. i am about to be monumentally busy, with portfolio development, an internship at United Way, a short-semester online speech class (yeah, i know), and a job if i can fit it in. i guess busy is good. as long as i don't have to be outside a lot, because it's fucking hot outside lately. at least we have a pool.
i miss france. when we first got there, i did something i knew i wasn't supposed to do, i asked "why is it this way here?" instead of just accepting the differences. but seriously, it was charles de gaulle airport and it was freezing outside, but hot inside and it smelled awful. i didn't do that the rest of the trip.
some differences.. france vs. texas
people don't wear deodorant. they smell. toast says some french people find BO "attractive."
the cars are tiny, like the Smart Car, which has a length of the width of one of our cars. it's very cute.
the cars are small because gas costs about $5/gallon.
they eat horse meat. or so i hear. i didn't see horse on the menu, but then again, i couldn't read it, so maybe toast just left that part out.
gizzards taste good in france.
half of the places don't have air conditioning.
other things.
here's a picture from chartres cathedral. it is one of my favorites.
the picture site is almost ready. i'll post it here tomorrow.
