Today's Farming Update
I weeded half the carrots.
Right now, they are very small, and the bittersweet, grass, and sunflower growths in the rows of carrots are much bigger than the tops. Some poison ivy near the fence, but generally avoidable. (Very avoidable when you wear high boots and pants year round.) Ignored the giant ant colony because I didn't want to be swarmed. Sun less avoidable; forecast was NOT for bright sun and got stuck with a unilateral sunburn. Dammit.
Did some thinning where the carrots were very dense, but they have germinated irregularly, leaving clumps where they did sprout and then vast sections of nothing. A bit disappointing.
Moon phase: 41% and dropping.
