Its hot in yuma, az. The other day it was 102 degrees and i said to my friend, who is stationed here, its frickin hot. She said, nah, the weathers been a lot cooler lately. 110 is usual for summer. I said id hate to be stationed on the surface of the sun.
Im here on a mini training deployment. I shoot rockets at aircraft from random plots of desert and mountain. We work in two man teams, fly or drive a humvee out, camp out, pistols strapped to our legs, flak jacket, kevlar, sunscreen, run chance of stumbling upon unexploded ordnance, no biggie, just dont run over the lizards. Its so the pilots have some training in being shot at.
