Life...

Life has an interesting way of showing those people who actually are suppose to be there vs the ones who tend to be self centered, and wish to gain specific things from your life as well.

I spent the past 6 months living and doing everything on my own, no real support from friends save for a great man I met out west. Nico, a Peruvian who ironically has the same birthday as my mom (2 years older though) would always check on me to make sure everything was good, and was always a good friend to me. With that being said, the "friends" I had back in Ohio, proved to show who I really could trust and shocked me with ones who had no selfless intentions.

Of those friends, many proved their intentions before I even headed out West by asking why I couldn't stay in Ohio. The question simple, the answer even more obvious. The amount of full time jobs within the resort industry in ohio is virtually non-existant. Staying in Ohio would have been much more cumbersome than packing and moving again.

While out west, those who supported me were always checking on me, and those who didn't support me made very minimal attempts at contacting me, or I'd have to contact them. Anyhow enough ranting about how moving can affect friendship and onto the more fun stuff.

Sun Vally, Idaho...one of the most popular Destination Ski Resorts (overall resorts) in N. America. First chairlift was built there in 1936, and I joined the 78th group of lift operators. Worked my first two weeks in -20*+ temps on Bald Mountain and spent the rest of the season on the beginning/terrain park mountain, Dollar. With Little Spuds (Kids 3-6 y.o.) and a variety of other programs including seeing Jack Black, it became quickly clear I had found a new home--at least for winter.

Loved who I worked with, loved the friends I made, the scenery...and discovered myself. Decided I want to return next winter and probably settle down.
