Updates....
Yesterday was the big church picnic here at the retreat center. I was in the snack shack for about 4-5 hrs making snow cones for anyone who wandered past. About 500 people came to the event it was lots of fun. Blow up play toys for the kids everywhere and at the close of the evening there was a baptism in the lake. I missed the baptism because I was still making snow cones but it was lots of fun. Our whole family helped out. It was kinda of funny sort of a coude de ta because at one point my whole family had taken over the golf carts helping people get from the lake back to their vehicles.
In other news my cousin Keela called me this morning to inform me of her engagement. She was so excited she could hardly tell me how he proposed. Not sure when the wedding will be yet most likley after she graduates from school.
And as usual when septemeber approaches I begin getting excited that fall is coming, my most favorite time of the year. I've already begun to burn pumpkin spice candles. Mmmmmmmmm.....and baking peanut butter cookies and such. Life is good out here in the sticks on the lake...and soon we maybe switching cabins out here to a larger one that will bring us close enough to the road where we can get cable internet again. I hope this works out because I am really getting tired of dial up. It takes forever to do anything.
