A little bit of rant
It's the second day after lessons commenced and I've started skipping them! It's CO SYF Showcase next tuesday and there's practice every day, today being the rehearsal at Singapore Conference Hall. I'm quite sure this will be my last CO performance and I will not have the chance to be playing in a CO like HCCO again. And although I vowed to practise more in some earlier post, I wonder how motivated I would be to practise dizi after this concert is over.
Like what Chris Seah said on the bus home after prac on tues, our guan yue section somehow has a chemistry no other combination of people can generate. The amount of fun we had was almost unjustified for students our age, who are "supposed to be" leading miserable, lonely lives behind desks and in front of tyses. It's indulgence. On tues it was as if we were all subconcsiously trying to make the most wonderful of memories with the little time we had left with each other. To talk and laugh so excessively was even slightly disconcerting, coz it seemed like we were hurriedly withdrawing as much happiness as possible, like cash, from an account that's going to be frozen after an imminent date.
I should start to mentally prepare myself for leaving CO, maybe forever.
