What kinds of cords are necessary to plug a laptop into the things at the library/classrooms/etc on campus in order to use the internet? I have a wireless card but I doubt there are wireless spots on campus...

Category five LAN cable.

Assuming that you have a LAN port available on your laptop.

You should be able to get on cmich_open (I think that's what it's called anyway).

the first floor of Moore and Java City have wireless

moore, pearce, dow, health, the library and the uc all have them.

but if you want to buy a cord, you need a cat 5 or cat 6 cable.

also, for fun, kaya and the maltshop both have wireless for sure. hell, you can get internet in the courtyard between anspach and pearce.

the library also has a few ethernet plug cable thingys to borrow if you forgot yours or the wireless doesn't work for whatever reason
