As Cory and I continued our hike around and over Hot Springs Mountain, I found lots of small things to photograph, from berries and mushrooms to puffballs and lizards. The regular stops to squat and take pictures of something on the ground slowed our hiking speed considerably, but I think it was worth it.

I wrote a while back about having bought a Zeiss Ikon folding camera from ebay. I took it out a few weeks ago for a test run at the Dallas Arboretum with Cory. Most of the pictures were blurry and out of focus (you have to be able to tell how many meters (!) you are from the thing you want to photograph because the viewfinder doesn't really show ( Read more... )
