Good Things
Today is a good day.
It marks two months of dating Cory, which makes me really happy. He makes me really happy.
It marks the inauguration of a new president, the beginning of a new political era (one in which even non-believers are acknowledged 1) as actually existing in the U.S. and 2) as equally valued citizens of the nation), and the end of the bullshit we as a nation have endured for the last eight years.
It marks the beginning of a new semester. While I really would've liked some more break (to do some more of my own work and to also just rest more), I thoroughly enjoyed meeting my new students today and look forward to discussing literature with them over the next couple of months.
