Seasonal changes and not being well.

Today I had to drop my Yoga class.  I woke up with my sinuses a mess, and anyone who has done Yoga knows that it is not possible to keep a tissue on your nose during the process.  I emailed the instructor, and thanked her for reminding me that fitness is important on a daily basis, and promised I will see her again next term.  In the meantime, I will practice at home, at least 3x a week and regain some of my lost flexibility so I do not feel completely outclassed in a "plus size" yoga class that has forty people, three of whom fit the label, of which I was one.

Ali was gone for about a week and a half, and right after she left I attended a board meeting with people who were not well.  The subsequent illness knocked me on my tuckus for over a week.  Every time I thought I was better, it turned out to be a lie.  I carried hand sanitizer around with me and did my best to keep my illness to myself when I attended things that could not be missed.  Spent several days in a daze.  That was a doozy.

Finally got well and Ali came home.  The next night we had a lovely dinner with some old friends and their children.  One of these darling friends, during the process of having dinner at our house, became noticeably ill.  It wasn't my food, thank goodness.  He just managed to go through half a box of tissues I picked up "just in case" earlier that day.

Today, I woke up sick again.  Bleh!  BLEH!  Lar's right.  It is time to call Kaiser.  Bronchitis could easily be taxing me enough that my system is not able to fend off anything else.  I have too much to do this week to be sick.  On a side note, I was told at the healing circle I attended almost a month ago now that taking care of myself was going to be very important, and I would know if I was doing a good enough job of it.

...and it's time to call Kaiser and set a schedule for my home Yoga.  *nods to self*  Sometimes, one just has to type for everything to make a touch more sense.
