bad curling news
so my first bonspiel is looking like it may be my last of the season as well. i had to limp off of the ice halfway through our saturday morning game and i've been in a fair bit of pain ever since -- i think i set my physical therapy back a month or two with this stunt, even delivering with a stick instead of sliding. i probably shouldn't've been trying to sweep at all.
i'm going to take this half-season off and see how i feel. other than frustrated, i mean. i had all sorts of plans for this year!
at least my one bonspiel was up at plainfield and i got to see a good set of my curling buddies. (when i limped off of the ice at eleven am i was promptly given two icepacks, a beer, and a seat at the table which was loudly planning that night's karaoke.) (it's weird, sometimes, to look around and think that if only one thing in my life had changed i'd never have known any of these people....)
