Watched calories never burn

It's true. Yesterday and today were both prime examples of that. I started both days out on the treadmill where I ended up having to mix it up between running and walking. Yes believe me I am running on the treadmill. Let me tell you, gravity is not my friend!!!! Sye made me start this version of speed training on Friday night and told me I'm ( Read more... )

keep up the good work. i'm bad with the calorie math, but am forcing myself for 4 days at least on the bike we just bought, for 1/2 hour a day. i aim for 5 miles... and hit it every time. pretty soon i'll push myself to 5.5... and fall over dead trying.

i've been meaning to blog this. my target heart rate is 108 while exercising (65%) and invariably all i have to do is pedal twice to hit that. i hover around 130-140 depending on how hard i am trying. my husband on the other hand has a hell of a hard time hitting 108. he's on blood pressure medication and has to work hard to get his pulse up.

so i feel lucky in comparison. i don't have to work out as hard.

after 3 weeks of this, i'm ready to hit the 85% heart rate goal i think. wheeeee!

lost 10 pounds since the new year. want to lose 100! but we'll see how far i get.

as for running on a treadmill -- congrats! i can't run on a treadmill. i fall down. there's something about the horizon and my peripheral vision not moving that gives me vertigo so dangerous i have to sign a waiver. and i fall down. so i don't do that .... but i'm proud of you for being able to.

Thanks so much. I actually found out I lost another 3 pounds this week so that 18 in total. I'm thrilled and so proud of myself. Trust me it gets easier as you go along. See I luck out on the calorie math as I have a watch which tells me how many I burn, so it makes it easier. That's great. It just takes a little to do it. Keep up the good work.
