Tonya's bday is monday, we are celebrating, as a family, on sunday...but going to have a bbq instead of going to RB. Apparently, Ed's dad is in town, so there will be the meeting of Minds, lol, betwixt our dad and him. wow. that good ol' boy from texas thing will cover the house. eeks.
my Palin costume may be morphing into Bondage/Domina Palin...it's the shoes, and the fact that I only have 1 pencil skirt and it's leather. haha. it somehow still works. :D I think I'll have to show up at the store, to show off the costume, just to make Mardi laugh. I am going to have to bring in a photo for class, on saturday, so that my teacher can see it...she about died when I told her that was what I was going to wear. :D life is good.
T/Thurs class is uber interesting, as time goes on. I really like my teacher. She's a blast. WE GOT MARKERS AND POSTERS, woot! on thursday..t'was a in class project to get us a'talkin' about the book we just finished.
"Summer" was rather good...I am more interested in reading Wharton's other works now. But, there's so many books on my plate. *sighs*
Phillip and I watched "The Orphanage" yesterday, after spending close to an hr. at BevMo's new location next to Valley Fair. Oh how I love that STORE!!! It makes me so happy. P got a raspberry lambic, i got a blueberry lager--kind of syrupy, i much prefer the blueberry wheat i usually get. OO...found a soda company from 831!!! Salas Represent! *throws up gang signs, East Side, specifically* t'was a fairly good root beer---Root Beer 101, Soda Wave Co.--they had KICK ASS classic Hot Rods on the label.
Me: "oh dude!! this is from back home!! ...hey, don't we know an Eddie Vargas, from Soledad?"
P: "doesn't everyone know an Eddie VARGAS? ...oh wow, this car's in Greenfas..."
Fuckin' Awesome. I bought all 4 bottles, so I could have the labels. my fave? the 31 Merc...black, baby. She's a Hottie.
Work's entertaining, as always. I have my days of Duty,...and the days I can dick around, and do virtually nothing, and Yet...still be productive. Bloody Genius.
Troy's loving NYC...I knew he would. we've discussed before that That was where he needed to be living, not L.A.--though, one wonders if he'll be able to handle the cold. He's enjoying a Real Autum, right now. Snow's another matter. LOL. He's going to be in Sweden for Winter, though...NYC will be a picnic by comparison. ha!
Shawn's parents come home tommorrow. Tomorrow is my long day--class@9am, work@2pm, dinner with Daniel after 6pm. Whew.
I'm not done with the laundry...but I've at least made a SERIOUS dent, and now shawn has cold weather clothes. AND I've gained a 1/4 of my wardrobe back, haha. life's good.
Wharton wrote Everyday...Shawn, if I gave him this knowledge, would so give me the "I told you So..." look. :D he's such a great guy.
yes.
i need to write every Day.
this is an established fact.
we're getting back to that...to be sure.
