More Indonesian pidgin
(I was going to get into a linguistic argument with myself, over whether to use the term "creole" or "pidgin," but....f--- it)
This is from a Q&A done with one of my co-workers in Indonesia, on the topic of tsunami recovery in the area of Aceh. (My workplace, a non-profit global health institution, was awarded some contracts to help with recovery efforts.)
What does garbage chicken taste like?
Garbage chicken is a yummy yummy fried chicken fried with edible and non-edible leaves and herbs( just for the flavoring), so you can imagine it as the KFC fried chicken without the batter! It is now progressing ......... in price. Before it was [Indonesian Rupiah] Rp. 25,000, then 40,000, and now 75,000 per plate since it is becoming more popular nowadays, including through the promotion of [my workplace's] staff!
MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .... I'll take a heaping plate of garbage chicken, please, with a little extra garbage.
