2 quickies
I got 4 new tires for my car. They're pretty much the same ones I had before (Michelin X Radials from Costco). My old ones were getting really worn out, where you could see cracks in them exposing the steel belts, which were even looking frayed a bit. So... I figured I was really pressing my luck and they probably should have sent me hurtling off the freeway to my firey doom long ago, and decided to just man up and spend the money already. Now I just need to get that 150 kilomile maintenance done (which is 3, almost 4 kilomiles past due) and the batmobile should be in tip-top shape.
My Gamefly games shipped on Monday but still have not arrived yet. I suppose I am spoiled by Netflix, because they have distribution centers all over the country, so I get my movies the very next day. I think Gamefly has 2 distribution centers, one on each coast. Now that I have given their website a good looking over, it seems like they have a very limited selection of titles (but maybe I don't have a good sense of how many video games are on the market). It's more expensive than Netflix, although that makes sense because the games are probably about $50 whereas a DVD movie is about $20. Anyway, I'm going to ride it out for a few months and I think it will be worthwhile to play some games that I otherwise wouldn't have.
