Oh!!
Yesterday while on patrol, I found a little nest of birds between the branches of a tree! I heard somewhere that if you touch them though, their mother will reject them, so I left them alone. Mothers are wonderful, special things, and I would never forgive myself if the baby birds had lost theirs because of me! Still, it was nice to listen to them chirp while I stood watch at the front gates.
I am going to visit Peggi and ask for my armor back early. I had originally intended to wait until my seventeenth birthday next week, but I want to wear it now. Lady Sanae's birthday is coming too, and I want to get her something special!!! Maybe special flowers for Ikebana? It is hard to believe how quickly birthdays come! I feel like it was just yesterday when I was turning ten it was the worst birthday ever though because it was my first without my father, but that was long ago.
Sir Sid seems to be healing quickly, which is wonderful. I'm sure he'll be out of the infirmary in no-time, and Luca must be completely healed by now too! Last time I checked up on him, he said he will continue patrolling when he has healed but what if patrolling makes him bored? That's why he got himself hurt in the first place. I have a few other new members patrolling separate shifts now as well, and I'm very proud of everyone who has been helping me, including the dogs!! Hobbit has barely gotten any larger than he was when I received him last summer, but he's a very well-behaved dog compared to some of the others. I don't think I could train him as well as Juan trained Little Hervey though.
