So earlier in MSN I described this one part of Rachmaninoff's second Piano Concerto as if one was...what did I say? Flying, floating, filled with energy. But that's not exact.
I feel as though I'm not only risen up, but am flying through billowing clouds. I have a long black coat for some reason, and it helps me to fly. And I travel leap by leap all across the land. And the music is the air that keeps me hovering so far above the natural things of the world, above the ground.
That is the image I get when I hear that part. It is amazing.
I saw Star Wars today. Gaaaaah fantastic. Bad writing, still fantastic. Epic. Stellar. Amazing. I loved it. I am going to see it again.
Though I only started to love it about halfway through.
Also, I found myself analyzing Yoda's grammatical syntax. It is based loosely upon English's own syntax, which is a shame. It's obvious that George Lucas has no idea how languages are made, and that he just took what sentences he wanted from English and switched around the words, not paying attention to any grammatical rules. And so, because it was based not upon grammatical rules but upon quick twisting of English words in different circumstances (sometimes he ends with a helping verb, sometimes a main verb, sometimes an object, sometimes a participle, sometimes...yeah, on and on and on, hardly ever consistent, completely based upon the English and not upon actual grammatical rules), it was simply not proper syntax.
Really, it's like making your own translation of a language by looking at seven other English translations, and not paying attention to the original source language. I doubt there would ever be a language with the grammatical syntax the way Yoda says it. Sigh.
Though it was interesting to see how he did it for a negative conditional.

I have many stickers on my new laptop. One of the most prominent is this black sticker with a little cartoon waving a lightsaber, and it says, "I've turned to the Dork Side." :D
I am *tired*. It's not unusual for me to be up this late - early - 5:45 am about - but I haven't had online access at home in years. How very dangerous. Instead of reading until I feel like I could collapse, I type instead.
I really do think I'll go to bed now. I will try.
Insomnia is annoying.
