2 Men and a Baby - Chapter 3

as you all know ryo-tan was in an accident and i know every1 wants to fic this but since it kick started my plot
bunny and I don’t know when I would ever find another bunny in this life so I just wanted to fic it =D
Chapter 3
It was 3 in the afternoon, he had just received a call from the babysitter that Nao was sick and was running a fever. Shige was in university, so he could only call Ryo. By the time Ryo had finally picked up the phone, it was quarter after 3 and both Shige and Ryo were anxious to get home. Yes, Ryo had finally started to call Shige’s apartment home. But now, Ryo could only think of Nao, and the fastest way to get home, willing his car to fly to Nao. All of a sudden, BAM!! Then a few other crashes could be heard. ‘Shit!’ thought Ryo, he knew he couldn’t get home soon enough so he quickly texted Shige to tell him and got out of his car to look over the damages. Things weren’t too bad, but it would seem like he won’t be able to see Nao-chan until the end of the day.
Just a few moments later, his cell buzzed in his pocket. Taking it out, he saw that it was from the Jimusho. He knew this would happen but still dreaded the smashing that he would be getting. Ryo flipped his phone open and pressed the talk button. And unexpectedly, it was Johnny himself that not only did he not bash him, but he had reassured Ryo that it’s not that big of a deal but that there would surely be punishment ‘tho not too severe. In the end, Ryo had chosen to give up driving for six months to show that he really is sorry and had gone to the hospital to apologize to the old lady.
When he got home, the first thing that greeted him was not a simple ‘okaeri’ but a worried look from Shige and a smiling Nao playing on the floor. Ryo avoided the look from Shige and directly went to pick Nao up touching her forehead while at it. For the first time that day, he felt relief; relief from all the things happening in his life. Hugging Nao, tears began to spill from Ryo’s eyes unintentionally and soon, he was all out crying with Nao in his arms and Shige silently lifting a hand over Ryo’s shoulder and gave a soothing rub in his back. Soon, the tears from Ryo’s distress had soaked through Nao’s clothes, feeling uncomfortable, she started to squirm. Upon this, Ryo was brought back to reality. Looking at Nao, he gave out a small chuckle that soon turned into a light laugh that Shige eventually joined in. Nao could only look innocently and curiously at both men wondering what they were laughing at. To be honest, not even both men knew at that time. Maybe it was a laugh to erase the awkwardness just then or maybe it was because Ryo hadn’t cried like since the hiatus or maybe just maybe they felt something for each other in that single moment.
