For whatever reason, the weather decided to turn against Kiara today. If she knew it was going to storm she wouldn't have gone outside at all. But unfortunately Kiara never watches television, much less the news, so something horrible was bound to happen eventually ( Read more... )

Zane honestly could never picture Kiara sitting and watching a television, or anything, for longer than ten minutes. Then again, like hell he knew about her currently, considering it'd been thirty plus years.

So seeing a girl crash down in front of him that resembled a girl he liked when he was eighteen, was a shock, outside of the whole replicating a meteor. The broad shouldered, thick black haired male grunted and stumbled back. His half-wet cigarette fell to the ground like the girl did a few seconds ago.

He had to force himself to bend down and lightly pat her shoulder.

"He--y.." Pat, pat. "Wake up."

For all you know, Zane, her shoulder could be broken. Good going.

Except it's really not, so.

It takes Kiara a moment, but she's soon awake. And confused. And sore all over. When she's conscious of someone standing over her she momentarily freaks and shoots up into the air, only to fall back down again a short distance away. But she manages to sit up! Thank god she's not as fragile as a normal human.

"...Hi. Ouch. Um. Sorry! Ow. Where am I? Vira is going to kill me. Not cool."

Well she doesn't remember him, damn. Zane gives an instinctive frown and had half the mind to just leave the girl in her little crater. But, whatever. He's got time. And, might as well treat the girl he used to find cute with a little kindness.

Zane forces her back straight with his hand, and stares at her.

"You're in the ground, Kiara. How're you still alive?"

Of course she doesn't remember you, Zane. You're old! At least, she doesn't recognize you.

Kiara smiles despite her obvious discomfort. "Because I'm not human, silly. See?" She points to her wings, which actually appear to be a bit mangled. That's not good.

But wait.

"...How do you know my name?"

Hey, hey. He prefers to think of it as a seasoned age.

The discomfort flags a small smirk on his face, something she managed to do naturally when he was younger.

"Always thought you were always in the clouds. Now I know why."

He'll laugh, more to himself and with no invitation to her. Her hand is grabbed by his, which is twice the size of hers, and she's pulled up into a standing position.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?"

Oh, standing now. Kiara wobbles a bit but manages to still herself. Her arms got most of the force when she hit the ground.

Kiara stares at Zane long and hard, despite the rain, and eventually shrugs.

"I dunno. I know a lot of old folk, but I don't know you. What's your name?"

Old folk? Ouch, jeez. Zane glares a bit, and feels no inclination to say his name. He grunts in response.

Zane will straighten her up, stop, stare down at her, and then begin to question if he should actually make sure she's already. Why? She doesn't remember him, he's got no reason to.

"Zane Loring, Kiara."

Wolf betrayed by his instincts. Damn.

"Oh."

Zane. Zanezanezane. Where had she heard that name before? Hmm. It takes her a second or two before it clicks. Kiara's eyes widen and she grins. Zane! She knows who he is!

"ZANE!" And then she jumps at him, flinging her arms around his neck. You are now being subjected to the ultimate hug of hugs.

"Zane! I missed you!"

His first thought was generally, HOLY SHIT she weights five pounds. His arms instinctively wrap around her weights so she doesn't knock him down, and she'll just hang in the air around his neck.

Sounds like great fun to him.

"Hey, hey. I'm not a tree. Don't climb me."

Miss her? Pffstsasgsdg no.

"Sorry! You're very big. Are you sure you're not a tree?" She wouldn't be surprised. Kiara gives Zane a little squeeze.

"I forgot humans aged so fast..." she said a little sadly. "Why do you age so much?"

"Since we're on the topic of not being human, I'm not one either, kid."

The little squeeze causes him to raise a brow, in a little bit more agitation. He isn't a bear, Kiara. Nor a tree.

"I'm a werewolf. You know, the wolfman? Not that pansy from the twilight movie."

You may not be a tree or a bear, Zane, but you are squishy and huggable. Kiara likes to exploit that.

"You're a werewolf?" Color her surprised. She never noticed. "I've never met a werewolf before! That's so cool." She now thinks Zane is the coolest dude that ever cool-ed.

"And what's Twilight?"
