My first official day working at Harvard, and I've already locked myself out of the system.

*forehead smack*

First email of the week begins with:

"Hello Erizabeth, I'm Tomohiro."

Yay foreigners!

So, I go to mark off all the spam in my BU email inbox this morning as usual, when I see the subject line for an otherwise common looking spam email: "Only a man can draw on saidin, only a woman on saidar." Also, among the random nonsense sentences in the message: "Not Myrddraal or the Dark One himself."

Nothing cures bureaucratic rage like homemade soup and inari delivered to your office by a whacky-yet-lovable Asian pair.

So a prospective student emailed CELOP in French, and it seems that I'm the only one who speaks it. So, I gave it a shot and replied to her questions in French. I was late for work because of a fuzzy little kitten. How is your morning?

So my new phone has this little icon that appears on the main screen when I have an alarm active. It's on pretty much permanently right now, because I use it for an alarm clock every weekday.
