tonight's drafthouse endeavour was rather uneventful. since it had been determined that tabling was rather ineffective, i left the box at home and merely handed out stickers. the movie was a very entertaining one, however, about a bunch of vampiric aliens who were kidnapping people between the ages of 16 and 24 in order to "steal their platelets" to prolong their lives for like 200 years. it involved lots of terrible acting, horrendous scripting which had characters shouting things like "HIT HIM AGAIN" repeatedly, costumes that were obviously meant to be intergalactic (the sparkly jumpsuit with a decal left no doubt in my mind that this guy was from space), and several characters that could have been cut completely out of the movie and nobody would have ever known the difference.
the other, more important information is that i received and email this morning from "chris grady" at the flamingo cantina. he handles local booking, and wants to arrange a time to discuss an established club night, perhaps over coffee. i think that making a buisness deal over coffee is more officious and i think i will strive to achieve that. i dont like coffee, but i like officiousness. he is nonetheless seemingly excited about it, as am i.
i am tired, and it is nearly 5. thus concludes this brief entry into the club night journal.
