FOURTH ENTRY

Jun 28, 2004 19:39

last night i had a really long and detailed description of the latest event, a kvrx benefit at beerland, typed up, but my computer locked up while i was inserting copious amounts of pictures for your viewing pleasure. so rather than attempt to replicate the lost entry, i am going to just post these pictures with short descriptions, because benefits are my quasi domain. oh yeah, the benefit was on thursday night. the pictures are kind of big, so if you want to see them and your connection is slow, you should go make a sandwich or something. that is, after you click the link below this.

this is our shoddy sign that doesnt like to stay up. also it is poorly designed graphically.

our benefit was at beerland

"Andrew Ward", buisness manager

this was the sign out in front of beerland with the band line up for the night. it was a 21+ show.

"John Gross", station manager

Quiet, Lovely played first

this was part of our merch table, "Ethan Smith" is in the picture, with the list he made to keep track of what we sold- which is useless because we dont sell enough that i cant remember it myself, so whatever.

AM Syndicate played second and totally rocked. im sure this is obvious by how awesome they look in the pictures, but believe me they sounded awesome too.

and What Made Milwaukee Famous played last. they are a great band, and they are all nice as hell. did you know that during the great chicago fires, milwaukee sent the fire departments of chicago hundreds of case of schlitz and that is what made milwaukee famous?

i realize that most of these pictures are all out of focus and the exposure time made all the people look crazy, but i like pictures like this because i hate having the flash wash out and freeze everything, it makes it feel less concert like.
