Favoritest moment ever!
Driving onto campus today I saw a crow doing some WEIRD flying.... centered around this light pole.... I kinda slow down .. look up and LO AND BEHOLD
* red tail hawk!!! *
.... insert girly squeal here.
This being the most favorited birdie next to ravens... and since there are no ravens in IL ... yeah XD
SO.
I pulled into the parking lot across the street and since I was at school early ( mostly to try and get a parking spot in the serengeti of the JJC parking lot)decided that I could just hang out and watch the show. Which .. nothing much went on, the crow left after dive bombing the hawk a few times. But the BIRDS OMG. SO not used to this many birds! AK just doesn't have a songbird population. I know there were robins, cardinals and redwing blackbirds out there but there was more than just them! It was awesome.
Then cue me seeing the time pass and have to get to class.
So I turned the car around and was stopped at the stop sign when all the sudden I see * WOOSH!* * WINGS!* out of the corner of my eye.
I'm all girlie glee at this point thinking i'm going to see Mr. Hawk take a dive at somebody or something.
EVEN BETTER.
MISTER HAWK comes *AT ME*
Yeah. WTF.
But not AT me .. more like .. I want to say the buzzard KNEW I WAS THERE .. and was waiting for me to be at the stop sign- because ... he skimmed the ground right before my car- and then just barely glided over the hood of my car by inches- I could've TOUCHED him, i saw every feather on his face......
and then he dove into a ditch.
And scared the WILLIES out of a crow that was feeding on something down there.
Mr. Hawk used my car and I as a BLIND to get back at the crow!
I sat there in awe.
I love nature.
School - I'm hacking it. Solid B in my Anatomy class so far.. which yeah ... o.o; shit. Every point counts major.
Fun news! Logistically speaking .... I have maybe a 1 in 5 chance of getting in... maybe ... might be less than that! ... 500 people apply for the nursing program only 88 get in. ... I'm not even IN the program yet- I'm just taking the prerequists.. >.<
Lochlain has been at his father in FL- therefore I've been.. rather down and out on a general basis this week. Preeetty anti-social and *gnash* when it comes to getting out ... but weather has been awesome. When it's sunny? IT"S SUNNY when it rains? IT'S FUN.
FINISHING APPLICATION FOR THE RP. I PROMISES..
WHY ARE THE LAST TEN DAMN SENTENCES SO FRICKING HARD?
As always also ? Arting... arting hard like a mad woman. I'm putting down the airbrush for a bit ( ...... umm.... >.>;;; mostly because I ran out of things to airbrush and I want INPUT for the nylon art profolio case! and I can't do polling! D: arrrrrgh! ) ..... But -several- fans, a pair of gloves and a commissioned dreamcatcher ( my first commissioned one!) and some feather jewlery in the works :)

For sad reasons I'm going to be headed out across state lines... but maybe I can bring boob smushes and some fun with me. :)
Then sunday Loch comes back and the normal routine begins... KINDA
