Now Hiring!

I'm looking to hire another couple of coders for NightOwl. If you know somebody who's looking for work, pass this along:

Posting edited for clarification.

I am currently hiring people for part-time coding. "Coding" is the industry-standard term for what is essentially the data entry of legal documents, though it's a good bit more challenging than regular data entry. This is not computer programming! This is not a good job for somebody who requires 40 hrs/wk, every week. This is a good job for somebody who needs time to work on a side project--artists, writers, people trying to set up a small business, and the like.

Perks of the job:
* flexible scheduling
* eventual telecommuting possibility
* choose whether you want part-time or full-time employment

Requirements:
* a typing speed of at least 60 wpm
* the ability to quickly read and comprehend documents
* good spelling skills
* good computer skills
* high tolerance for a deadline-driven environment

The job is located in the warehouse district of Minneapolis and is easily busable. Starting pay is around $10-$11/hour, depending on skills and experience.

Scheduling is flexible, but you must be available to work during the day for the first couple of days of a new project. Usually, there is little advance notice for this. After the first couple of days, you can work second shift or third shift or something in-between if you want to. Workload varies dramatically on a week-to-week basis--no work one week, then overtime (at time-and-a-half) the next week. If you are interested in training in scanning and copying (this is optional), you can get more hours. The last person I hired for coding is now getting at least 40 hrs/week, every week, because he chose to train in other departments as well.

If interested, please email your resume to aswiebe@gmail.com. If you responded to a previous job posting, please re-send your resume, as that was long enough ago that I am not assuming people are still available.

owl, work
