DVD Drive Update
So f.y.e. is a what is known in the VM Meet Market on TWoP as a bunch of fuckslutwhores. They cancelled the orders for NYPL and LAPL without even ever getting back to me after two complaint emails and three phone calls. We won't be able to buy more DVDs until another sale comes around, but we can start confirming libraries in the meantime.
We are reaching out to the libraries in the Top 11-30 markets we donated to before, but we are also hoping to add to the VM fanbase in the Nielsen's most recently added group of viewers by adding a bunch of college libraries to our list. If you are a current college student, check this post.
Not currently in college but you want to help? Why not contact your alma mater?
Look up the phone number to your former college's library or audio visual center and call them up. Tell them about the DVD Drive and ask them if they are interested in receiving free DVDs from the fans of Veronica Mars. (Season One and/or Two in this case.) Remember, they must be able to guarantee that the DVDs will end up on the shelves and not sold to make money for the university. (Let them know than Rob Thomas was a highly regarded Young Adult Fiction writer before he created VM.)
If you get a confirmation, get the contact's name and mailing address and let them know that they will be receiving their free DVDs by May 1st. If a sale does not come around between now and the middle of April, we will just have to bite the bullet and pay the asking price. Better to get some DVDs in libraries than none, right? Then come back here and post the info in the comments of this post or email it to looktotheskies@gmail.com.
