my situation at work has been strange,
and probably too much so to fully explain here.
in short, i'll just say that
i was hired into an IT department to assist them with design.
they don't have enough work to fill my time,
so the rest of my time is filled by requests from the marketing department.
how much is "the rest of my time?"
currently 100%.
the marketing department are the ones that project manage the IT projects,
so the IT work requests are coming from them in the first place.
so why don't i work full time in marketing,
cutting out the middle man?
no one knows.
they have, at least,
starting putting me downtown once (and soon twice) a week.
it's helped.
today is one of those days.
i've gotten more work, and better work.
i was driving downtown, but i'm going to stop doing that.
this morning i took the bus with Ashley.
it was an awesome way to start the day.
i don't hate my job,
i just get easily bored.
alas, i know this is where i need to be right now.
it's a better feeling than 4-5 years ago,
when i knew i shouldn't have been where i was
and still stayed there.
