Cliff Notes for the post below...

Dec 18, 2005 08:32

I didn't realize until I went to check it how VERY long the previous (friends-only) post wound up being. So, here's the short version:

1) I hate graduation ceremonies.

2) But it was really important to some very close friends that I go with them to ours, so I went.

3) I still would rather have done something else, but it wasn't as bad as I'd been dreading, and I'm glad I went because my friends were so happy.

4) Although it wasn't as bad as I'd thought, it still made me anti-social enough that I missed out on some nice parties. Sorry, folks...

5) The dog is guilt-tripping me (every time I turn to look over my shoulder at him his ears perk up and he wags just the very tippy-tip of his tail like crazy) so we are going for a walk.

If you want more details of anything but the walk, please feel free to read the full novel below :) If you're not a friend and you want to read it (although you'd pretty much HAVE to be a friend to wade through it!) comment on this post and I'll be happy to add ya.

I can give you the details of the walk before I go: Cody the dog will pee on anything vertical and unprotesting; he will sniff at everything, including other dogs, and try to chase any running squirrels or cats; he will try to eat anything that looks remotely edible and smells even slightly tasty; and he will crap at least once, at which time I will pick it up in the plastic bags I have thoughtfully brought along LIKE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER (pay attention, any leavers-of-poo-on-the-sidewalk) and chuck the bag in the nearest dumpster. I will be annoyed about being cold, and I will of course be less than thrilled about picking up poop, but it will be nice to see the cheerful dog having a good time, as we have been skimping on his walks lately. Then we will come home and I will spend the day cleaning the house (I got all but the two back rooms done earlier this week, but man those last two are a doozy) and writing Christmas cards.

But now I am going to depart before this post gets longer than the last one. Ciao, babies!

graduation, dog, friends
