so kaboom was fantastic (even though i overuse that word to the max, it really was fantastic). KT Tunstall was scottishly sublime, and Los Lonely Boys had some really long solos for both guitar and drum, but it was still cool. cassie's family is, truly, the bomb. and though i have no idea what the actual name for it is (and i know somebody will chide me, seeing as i heard the name several times only a day ago), that tomato and cheese thing with the bread...just divine.
holy crap those were some amazing fireworks! too bad they didn't have the sound worked out for the first part of it. and i really think we all realized it was Green Day even without the barrage of green fireworks. i was definitely digging their tunes selection: mostly songs i could sing along with.
and while i was unable to catch a second viewing of either Millions or Match Point, i definitely enjoyed the night and the lack of raping (on at least three fronts). and i must say, it was all meant to be: catching the very last N train, i mean, couldn't have worked out any better if i'd planned it.
so CMC was a nice show. interesting mc though. i especially loved how he'd: parking karma was on my side. spot, completely open, and about six feet longer than my car (i.e. i was able to park in it, even with my lack of parallel parking skills) only one block away. my god, they really need to get an ac system in there, or at least a fan for chrissake.
well, i think that sums up the weekend pretty well. all in all, it was a swell time. the future, however, doesn't look quite so bright: arber midterm tomorrow being the first thing on my agenda that makes me cringe. that man has gone bonkers, and he's taking us all with him on the train to crazyville. i really try to think of the good times we've shared, and just think of it as his good old quirky self, but then he goes and says we'll be writing how many papers, due how soon, on how many different books/movies/songs?
and just because i've decided no posting is really complete without some shout out to seinfeld: "These pretzels...are making me thirsty!"
