steven
+after the silencegod of silence • 39
▌ Steven's story began over twenty years ago, when he fell victim to a car accident that cost his mother's life and his ability to hear. Twist after turn, he faced the inevitable changes in his life, moving to a different country to live with his father and his step mother. Later in his life, Steven was approached by the god of silence: Sai Lance. To top it all, he told Steven that he'd been chosen as his successor, a task that he never said yes to. The two went through a lot together, forging what turned out to be a strong friendship. It couldn't last forever, though, and Steven eventually took up the title of Sai Lance the 32rd, letting the previous one part. He can only communicate through sign language or by forming words in absolute silence.

He's well-versed in several techniques and weapons.
ben bellamy
+is this real life?meta character • 38
▌ Ben is a man -- a character -- who is pretty sure he had a life before some writer out there sat down with his friend and decided to create a collaborative story with him. One writer creates the protagonist (Ben), the other creates all the other characters that oppose him. These two wise and all powerful men have a ball creating ridiculous and life-threatening situations mixed up with mysterious love interests while Ben wonders why there is someone out there actually forcing him to live his life.
amoral
+LIONsgenetically enhanced • 20
▌ Taken by the LIONs at a very young age, Amoral was experimented on and improved with genes that give him supernatural abilities. His mind was inevitably affected in more ways than one, namely on his speech patterns and manner in which he carries himself. Sometimes he has borderline childish reactions to unexpected or unwanted situations, and he has to use synonyms, symbolisms and expressions to be capable of expressing himself through words. His only objective in life - if it can be considered as such - is to seek out, categorize and eliminate other artificial humanoid beings, using his power (the ability to read thoughts and search through memories of one's mind) to obtain information and carry out his missions with more efficiency.
driver
+LIONsgenetically enhanced • 26
▌ Perhaps one of the most carefree and independent of the LIONs, Driver's psyche seems to be relatively unaffected by the procedures he was subjected to. He managed to sneak away from and evade the same organization that modified him, living a relatively normal life with
Andël, the sniper, and
Maude, the demon hunter. It was all too soon when the LIONs finally tracked him down.
anaye
+lost to the forestwitch bird • ?
▌ Once an innocent little bird, Anaye fell in love with a human man that would often wander into the forest where she was born. Her infatuation grew so strong that she called upon the magic of the witches to turn her human and fall into his graces. That was when she discovered that he was a very, very bad man, and he hurt her, so much that her love turned into hate. Anaye called upon the witches to grant her one last wish, to give her power so that she could breed her ultimate revenge. She would seduce every man that walked into the forest, now her realm, until they gave themselves completely to her. It was then that she would curse them -- making them remain young and beautiful forever and forever committed to seek love, only to remain unloved and incapable of love for all of eternity.
julius
+lost to the forestcursed immortality • ?
▌ One of the young men who wandered into Anaye's realm, Julius was seduced by her fragility and drawn in until he lost track of time. He spent years after being abandoned by Anaye before realizing he had become one of the victims of her curse, wandering alone, unaffected by age or by love.
kaena

aspen
+monsters!monster hybrid • 21
▌ Daughter of a female monster and male human, Aspen was picked up by Kulshedra and taken into her forgiving lair of slaves when her mommy was killed off by one of her many purist monster relatives. Kulshedra seems to have a very twisted sort of affection reserved for this one, treating her almost like a second-in-command at times. When the matriarch is out somewhere, Aspen takes control of the house. While she isn't allowed to eat any of her fellow slaves, she's given the privilege of leaving the property to hunt for her own meals every now and then and, without fail, Aspen returns every single time. She has nothing to hide or lie about, or so Kulshedra thinks.
hope moore
+monsters!monster hybrid • 18
▌ Hope has an ironic name. The child of a woman who had fought to follow through with the pregnancy against everything and everyone, fruit of Romazhvir's rape. The woman somehow saw the baby as some sort of her last hope in humanity - if she could raise Hope to work against the monsters and the Devil alike, she would have accomplished something much grander than herself. Things took a grave turn when Hope tried to eat another child. Her mother grew distant and depressed from that moment on, treating her daughter like a freak, as Hope represented her colossal failure. She eventually died of illness, leaving Hope with unanswered questions and no one to turn to. She does not know who or what she is - just that she is gradually giving in to the impulses that her mother tried so hard to erase.
jack gibson
+future monsters!human • 43
▌ Cerbos was different from most of his siblings, unable to completely control a body and keep its voices shut. Instead he jumped from one dying man to another to breathe life into them and allow them to live as themselves as long as they allowed him to feed through them. Jack Gibson was as good as dead when the monster found him and presented that same deal. Desperate to cling to dear life, Jack accepted. The two travel together now, for better or for worse, and the man with the monster in his ear has been forced to question and forget his sense of morality ever since. Jack still finds enough of it to stand up to the monster on occasion, which often results in Cerbos completely taking over for a limited about of time.
jerry redmond
+future monsters!human • 42
▌ While Sebastien the false prophet was worshiped blindly by his subjects, the world had no idea that a true one had been roaming about since before the beginning of the war. Jerry Redmond has spent his entire life in his home nation, Canada, also ravaged by war and left with little more than ghost towns and refuge camps. Immune to the powers of both monsters and devils, Jerry always had the knowledge of the before, now and after of the world and the people inhabiting it. This drove him to seek solitude, dreaming of a simple, normal life he will never have. He is the only one who knows if the red skies will ever clear.
kulshedra
+monsters!monster • ?
▌ Kulshedra quickly performed the rise to power when she took the body of a millionaire heiress and vanquished her entire family. Ruthless, manipulative and sadistic, she has been gathering her own little cult of monster hybrids and human slaves, using them for protection and entertainment. Few of her enemies are brave (or stupid) enough to challenge her power, and she makes sure traitors learn their lesson. Kulshedra is known for her appetite of female flesh and poisonous blood. Rumors that she desires to take
Calathea's place are fueled by her overindulgence and what little she has done to put an end to the Devil's power. She rules through fear and false hope; she draws her slaves in with passion and a sharp tongue.
wayne hoffman
+monsters!monster • ?
▌ Wayne Hoffman was a little orphaned boy found roaming the streets on his own in a daze and with no apparent recollection of his past, just the certainty of his name and age. He was saved and taken in by Xanthia's charms to be properly raised into a sulfur slave, but Wayne suddenly decided to take off again, only to be found by Stephanos. He is now the monster's new favorite -- and willing -- human pet. But that's not quite how his story really goes... The little boy is indeed an orphan, but Wayne Hoffman is long gone and now the vessel to the gluttonous monster Ouroboros, betrayed by Stephanos big mouth and disgraced by the monsters' mother, Calathea, upon being revealed as a cannibal and traitor to his own kind. By miracle or fate, Ouroboros was left to rot in the remains of his own corpse, but the tricky little thing managed to escape and regain a body. He now walks in the guise of little Wayne Hoffman, eating humans and monsters alike, always hungry, for food and for revenge, making his way into Stephanos' grace so he can weaken and devour his brother.

She prefers to communicate through hologram technology than by Plug In.
zo
+plug-in soldiercombat oriented software • ?
▌ As mysterious as she seems to be dangerous, Artificial Combat Assistant 'ZO' appeared suddenly and out of nowhere in an attempt to compromise Plug-In Soldiers' safety. She constantly attempts to hack into their system through completely untraceable means. No one knows the identity of her programmer, or why her appearance and voice are so similar to ZOE's.
eyes
+rEvolutionsuperhuman • 9
▌ Born Tomás Booth, his powers developed at a very early age, when the brown of his eyes faded away to white and his voice began to haunt his parent's thoughts. He was handed over to the rEvolution when Red approached his parents, promising protection and help. Tomás was given the codename 'Eyes' and has been developing his telepathic powers ever since, apparently unaffected by the separation from his parents.
eyes
+rEvolution!futureverse>superhuman • 19
▌ With potential that grew each and every new day, Eyes was ready to be rEvolution's most powerful telepath by the age of twelve. Psionic decided she wouldn't accept it, and rewired the boy's brain in order to make him forget everyone to whom he owed his loyalty. In a battle against their newest, most powerful enemy, Eyes could do nothing but watch as she took Red's life. Exchange urged him to give her murderer a fate worse than death. red
+rEvolutionsuperhuman • 33
▌ Red is as rational as she is capable of considering things from an emotional point of view, having promised to herself that she will follow Exchange to the very end of their goal. The relation they share has become an unquestionable partnership, where one has enough trust and influence over the other, without having to resort to manipulation. Red often questions his decisions in hopes of finding a peaceful alternative to the needless slaughter of powerless humans. She has the ability to take and give vital energy, using it to heal and save as many lives as she can as a way to silently atone for all the lives she did nothing to spare.
inna
+rising sunhalf-breed • 16
▌ In the planet Elemis, humans and angels have been at war for a long time. Born from the forbidden love between a human woman and a male angel, Inna was given away into the safety of the Wamarian temple. Fourteen years after Inna's birth, the war between humans and angels finally ended. Inna was now able to leave the temple and find her mother, a wish that she carried since her earlier youth. The High Priestess allowed for his departure, but the recency of the war still required secrecy and protection for the half-breed. Inna was assigned with a guardian called Nine from an affiliate religion (Chaoma), under the guise of a pilgrimage. Inna and Nine now travel far to find the missing mother with nothing but a message left by her mother to guide them: "I think of you whenever I see the rising sun."
nine
+rising sunwarrior • 19
▌ Nine is the descendant of a long line of warriors who have always served the Chaoma religion. It is almost a costume in his family to have several children, and since he was the ninth baby to be born, his parents simply decided to call him Nine. He was raised in the arts of religion and combat; discipline and faith became the keywords to his way of life. Because the Chaoman religion was generally neutral to the war between humans and angels, Nine was never sent to fight for his race and lived in his hometown practically all his life. Shortly after the war ended, he was assigned to escort a Wamarian priestess apprentice (Inna) on her pilgrimage.
gaspar justo
+the five tigersspirit • 400+
▌ A boy gets lost in the jungle and turns into a tiger. One of the Portuguese soldiers expelled from the Bahrain islands in 1602 by Abbas I (of the Safavid dynasty of Iran), Gaspar Justo fled from his own comrades' company and into a forest out of refusal to leave the nation he had spent most of his life in. He was taken by the spirit of the Yellow Tiger, the center piece that composes and guides the other four. Playful and an advocate of optimism, Gaspar represents the Sun as the entity that shines light on his 'brothers' doubts and disagreements, just as capable of lifting their spirits as he is of showing them the harsh truth. He understands the frustrations of the younger Tigers, which doesn't mean he won't remind them of the duty they must fulfill.
milen
+the stargazerwater elemental • ?
▌ Created by the Sea to walk, talk and feel like other humans, Milen is set on a quest to do the Sky's bidding. Innocent and inquisitive, the boy made from magic and water searches for the five stars that wear the necklaces symbolizing their nature. Years spent wandering aimlessly without proper maintenance took an effect on his software. 'Unknown' is now on a permanent search for his family, mistaking whoever offers a kind word for a light at the end of the tunnel, attaching himself to them to the point of obsession until he's shoved away and back to wandering alone, looking for the next best thing.
