Carl was living a boring life with a boring job in a boring apartment. Needless to say he was aggravatingly bored. He decided it would be a good idea to acquire a gun, just to see what it would feel like to have fun. One could say he liked it a little too much when he killed everyone working in his office. Carl was arrested and claimed he had heard a voice that compelled him to eliminated those who challenged life and death. Part of it was true, but said voice obviously hadn't told him to check if his coworkers were violating the laws of the universe. He eventually found a way to escape from his cell and has been on the run every since.
